1.) Did the Team always intend to give the girls similar sounding voices for songs? Or at one point were the voice actors supposed to be involved? It was probably easier to not record them all singing separately… May I ask is one person actually singing for the three or is it like a ‘computer voice’

Ok, lots of questions here. Let’s see all of that…

First of all, as we were (still are) very short in resources during the whole production, we initially stated that Iris would be the only singer in the band, and so we recorded one only voice. (Yasmin Shah’s)

Then, when we created the musical videos, we realized that it was very strange to have Talia and Auriana not open their mouth at all. It made them too static, and prevented us to give them some spotlight too. So we changed that : It was decided that while Iris would be the only one to have a microphone (since we have only one singing voice recorded), the two other princesses would pretend to sing with her too. 

At this point, we thought about recording Talia and Auriana’s singing voice for their part in the songs too, unfortunately we couldn’t afford it, much to director’s Vandestoc disappointment.

In English, it’s Yasmin Shah who’s performing the songs and in French it’s Cassandre Berger. The voices are mixed and transformed inside the song, but it’s a real singer each time. ;)

The dubbing of the show was made afterward, that’s why the comedians didn’t get to perform the songs (except for a few part during rehearsal and things like that). Hope this covers all the question above…

2.) What are the exact lyrics for that one bit from the English opening? “Here comes the girls in a world out of nowhere, come back to save the day” that’s what I’m hearing..

3.) Will there be new songs for season 2 ? And when will the news songs for season 2 be out ?

There will be five new songs and video clips, that will be part of season 2 episodes. The songs themselves are already out. Check on LoliRock’s official English youtube. Here are the links for :
